COCKINGTON'S PARISH CHURCH
Vying for the title of Devon's oldest church with its origin dating back to c.1068, The parish church of St George & St Mary has been a place of worship for over 950 years. we are an inclusive Christian congregation serving the Cockington and Chelston communities together with our sister church St Matthew's, Chelston.
today Cockington is as popular as ever for its serenity and charm for the thousands of visitors who pass through. The setting is chosen by many families for weddings and baptisms.
Our doors and indeed our hearts are open every day to welcome you into this historic place of worship. You'll find out a lot about us on this website, but the best way is to come and see.
The church is open every day 10am till 4pm .
